While working on her debut album 'The Strange Vernacular', the idea to cover a popular 80's song came up, and so we chose this classic by perennial new wave rocker Billy Idol.
I knew 'White Wedding', with it's straight-ahead anthem-like arrangement and rock sensibility, would be a prime candidate for the type of re-imaging I had in mind.
Creating compelling soundscapes has always been central to my approach, and I wanted to produce something that would provoke the imagination when listened to.  Driven by the introspective, yet powerful and earnest nature of Jaclyn's vocal styling, her delivery weaving between fragile and bold, a radical departure from convention was naturally in order.

With that in mind, I dug deep in to my bag of tricks. What resulted was what we had hoped for:  a highly original piece of music that has been said to sound like "...an offspring of the unholy union of Joni Mitchell and Nine Inch Nails!".
